Hello, The new button slicer is an amazing new addition to the PowerBI toolkit. However, I suspect that there could be a bug in relation to interacting with the slicer through buttons and bookmarks. I have a very specific usecase where I want to open a "menu" using a button and a bookmark. When doing this with the traditional slicer, the slicer would keep its selection when opening and closing the "menu" as long a data is deselected on the bookmarks. However, when opening the bookmark which serves as the menu through a button, the button slicer is reset eventhough data is deselected which is not what I intend to do and not how I would expect it to work. However, if I choose the "menu" bookmark directly, the button slicer is not reset. Or if I have the slicer visible while the menu if opened and closed it doesn't reset either. It is only when the button slicer is hidden and made visible through the interaction of a button opening a bookmark that the button slicer resets. Thank you in advance for you help. PowerBI is displaying text boxes correctly in Desktop app: But when viewed in the browser, the list and indentation no longer make sense: I would expect the browser to present the exact same content as Desktop. I have tried Firefox, Chrome and Edge, all on private mode and all extensions disabled, but the issue persists.

I'm using a slider for Dates like in this picture. I have a datasource with values for a lot of elements and the slicer is used to filter the dates to analyze. The problem is when I publish the report (and configure the gateway in order to be refreshed every day) the last day of the slicer doesn't update to the last day in the database. For example, Today I have values in the database and the last day in the database is 15th of January and slicer is set to 15th of January. I publish the report and set a schedule refresh. The problem will be tomorrow when the report will be refreshed that the last day in the dataset will change to maybe 16th of january and the slicer will be the same 15th of january instead of the 16th of january .

My first page has a lot of visuals and the user should scroll down to see them. When the user clicks a visual and goes to another page scroll position is the same not at the top of the page. My pages are in actual size with scroll. It is a very basic thing but I couldn't solve it. Thank you very much for your help in advance.

Hi, I am receiving multiple prompts to log into my work account If I try to close out without logging, PBID shuts down If I close PBID and reopen I have to login again My login especailly from same IP address should be good for a few hours. What I tried so far: 1.) Reboot - still same issue 2.) Uninstall PBID Download latest installer Install Still same issue Other ideas? Thanks -w

Good day There seems to be an issue with using JSON themes for the New Card visual for Version: 2.118.828.0 64-bit (June, 2023) As an example, using "cardVisual": { "*": { "layout": [ { "alignment": "top" } ] } } gives an error. Using "left", "center", "right" will all import without an error message, but just make the visual top & left aligned for all three options. I would have expected that this specific setting be the vertical alignment under the layout option with the options "top", "middle", "bottom" and have no impact on horizontal alignment. Please see attached image with larger set of items with naming conventions taken from using the .pbip file. The ones with a red line beside it seemingly have problems similar to the example above If I am mistaken, please let me know

I have multiple reports with subscriptions and they work just fine, until recently. All of our reports use a Data Model and that is working fine, the data only takes a few minutes to load in the report. When I set up a subscription for two separate pages in the same report, I get the PNG image just fine for one, but not the other. It just shows an X with the text "This visual was not exported due to a timeout." I cannot find anyone else who has solved this issue and there are not any settings that I can find that will extend the timeout in the datasource or subscription settings.

When saving a new version of Power BI into a shared drive, the file type extension drops off and file explorer can't open the file.

In Line chart, forecasting is available only when the X-axis type selected is "Continuous". When "Categorical" type X-axis is selected the forecasting option is unavailable. There is no option to display labels for the forecasted values, upper and lower confidence levels. In coutinuous type X-axis, the period shown below X-axis is leading 1 period from what the data is shown in the chart. Please enable forecast option with x-axis type categorical as well. Fix the period display when in continuous type x-axis.

When slicer is used to search a text and clicked on Erase, it clears the filter but not the search term. If the slicer is oepned again, it looks like all the values are restricted and adds an extra step to delete the previous search term. Hi, I have a visual that uses the Shape>Style>Shadow feature to display a status indicator. This works as expected when viewing the published report in Power BI Service on my computer. However, when I access it from my phone or tablet, the shadows don't display. I've tried editing the report within Power BI service from my tablet and can see that the feature is still enabled but it will not display. I see that there is another route to add a shadow under General>Effects>Shadow, but this does not work well with the rounded corners of my metric card Please let me know if there is any limitation to using the Shape>Style>Shadow feature when accessing from a tablet, or if there are any recommendations for workarounds. I'm getting the formatting options on a visual becoming locked and being presented with 'Formatting options are unavailable for this visual'. This is both for the visuals pane and the on visual formatting. I have to shut down powerbi and reopen the report and then all of the formatting options become available again. But then randomly then become locked with the same message again. Possibly this has to do with visuals that are effected with bookmarks? As it seems to be more prevalent on visuals that are swapped between with these. These are standard visuals. Has been present since the last big update (On visuals formatting). Very fustrating to keep having to close and reopen work to get it to work again.

This issue does not occur on the cloud server, but only the on-premise report server. If you navigate though a report using the tabs at the bottom, no boxes appear. However, if you use navigation button to go to other tabs, boxes will appear every time you select a pie slice or a column in a bar chart.

It says "Couldn't overwrite the app This version of the app can't be overwritten. Starting on Wendnesday last week 2/15, all visuals in our dashboard that relied on internal functions (like TODAY or NOW) stopped working. Our dashboad is published to a workspace and uses a "Mixed Storage Mode". As a temporary workaround, we made an alteration to our workbook (we removed a table) so that it could become "Direct Query Storage Mode". Publishing as Direct led to our visuals working again. We can recreate the issue by adding table and publishing it as "Mixed". Calculations will again fail, if they rely on internal functions like TODAY.

Cannot rename or delete "Average line" or other lines in section "Add further analyses to your visual". Once a line is added, it's impossible to rename it or delete it. It seems like the changes are not applying to a visual. For example, if we rename average line from "Average line 1" to "Average", the name doesn't change on the line chart. Or if we delete the line, the line is still there. The most interesting thing is that this bug is only on charts with Date hierarchy from year to day. But for visuals with quarterly axis there is no issue at all. Please fix this.
