Power BI mobile app sending incorrect links when sharing

If I connect to our Power BI Report Server using the mobile app, and then annotate and share a report page, the mobile app sends a link to a non-existent report in the Power BI SERVICE, instead of a valid link to the Report Server report.

How do I fix this?

This is extremely confusing for our users.

Thanks,

Audrey

Hi @aabbey,

I'm not very clear the issue, would you please record a video to show the issue?

I can't do a video, but will post the steps I am taking, and screenshots.

Steps:

1. Establish a VPN

2. Connect toPower BI Report Server using Mobile App

3. Navigate to report

4. Annotate/Share report

5. Mobile app will send an email with an image attachment and a link.

Mobile app capture:

Shows the mobile app is connected to the Report Server, and not signed into the Service.

Mobile App - Settings.jpeg

Screenshot 1 -

This shows the email I received with the link showing.

That link is taking me to Power BI Service, not my report server.

Screenshot 2 -

This shows what happens when I try to follow the link.

The report doesn't exist in Power BI Service, of course.

It is on our report server, not the cloud.

I need that link to properly reflect the Report Server address, not the Power BI Service.

This is causing tremendous confusion for my users.

Thanks for the help,

Audrey

Additional note:

I updated the Power BI app on my iPhone, just in case.

That did NOT solve the problem.

Audrey
