How to fix this error?

Hi everyone,

 

I just installed and this error appear, i can't sign in on PowerBI

Microsoft.Data.Mashup.Preview.DownloadManifestResult+JsonRemoteExtensionInfoArray.Encountered unexpected character '<' 

Help me fix this

I can't reproduce this case in my test.

 

Based on the above information, if you are a Power BI Pro licensee, you can create a support ticket for free and a dedicated Microsoft engineer will come to solve the problem for you.
It would be great if you continue to share in this issue to help others with similar problems after you know the root cause or solution.

I've got the same issue with our PBIRS  JAN23 deployment.

I can clear the issue once allowing the user to access the web.

Appears without internet access you get this error, with you don't.

All our users have to accept a user policy before they can access the internet so all get this error until they do so which is an absolute pain in terms of  PBI Desktop rollout with rubbish comms explaining the error.

 

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated, haven't been able to provide our main 250+ users with the latest version since they introduced a call-home feature at launch May 2022.
