Schedule Refresh failing many times

Recently we upgraded our on-premises gateway following which a lot of schedule refreshes are failing with mostly data source timeout issues and sometimes operation timeout.
Scheduled refreshes are successful once in 5 - 6 times. 
Similarly, all the reports are showing the same error.
Any help on this?

Did you ever have this problem before you updated gateway ? Do your other colleagues have the same situation? Will you have this problem if you refresh manually?

Before updating the gateway this issue never surfaced.
there were some other errors like transient issues once in a while but most of the refreshes were fine.

 

Currently, all my colleagues are also facing this same error and sometimes even the refresh manually are failing now 

There is also this error coming now

Data source error:The operation is timed out.. The exception was raised by the IDataReader interface. Please review the error message and provider documentation for further information and corrective action.
