How to achieve data security restrictions during self-service implementation in power BI so that when the user (user1) connects to DB in power BI desktop, it gets the restricted data only. (data visible to him will be only related to user1)
Could you please help us with it.
Hi @RacAgr,
Power BI Desktop connects to DBs with the user credential of that DB. All the source that the user have access will show up. So we need to restrict the access in the DB. We could create different roles or different schema and grant to users or roles properly. I would like to suggest you go to Forums/sqlserver for more professional advices. Maybe you could refer to these documents.
