I am currently playing around with power bi using an odata connection to CRM online. Our CRM online version upgrades next week to CRM 2016 which I know can then display PowerBI reports in dashboards.
I was wondering, is there a way to develop a report that can be displayed for an account or contact record you are currently looking at. As if you were using a slicer in a report to reduce the dataset to a single row but instead of using a slicer, passing through the id of the record you are looking at.
What I want to do is build a pretty standard set of powerBI reports for accounts but when you look at a single account record in CRM, you will see that report for that specific account.
Thanks
Hi @jsteele58,
According to your description, using Row-level security (RLS) with Power BI in your scenario should meet this requirement. For more detail about Row-level security (RLS) with Power BI, you can refer to this official documentation.
