Hi Guys,
I've setup a simple one table / source direct query using the new MariaDb connector.
When I publish this to the service I don't get the option to change the 'Scheduled Cache Refresh' but I can change the 'Scheduled Refresh'.
So it would seem like the service is treating this as a composite model even though it only has one simple table and source.
Anyone else experience this or have any workarounds / ideas?
Hi @v-yiruan-msft ,
Thanks for taking a look. Appreciate what the error message is saying but that is the problem...
It should be supported as the Mariadb connector came out in September's release and was then enabled for direct query in October's release. However the connector is in beta so I think I will take this up with support.
Thanks for your time 🙂
Hi @uk_tj ,
Could you please try to clear permission & clear cache in Power BI Desktop and republish the report to Power BI Service? If it still not working, could you please provide the related screenshots of data source setting in both side? Thank you.

Thanks @v-yiruan-msft
I've done as you've suggested but that has had no effect.
Here are the screenshots. Thanks for taking a look 🙂
Hi @uk_tj ,
According to the error message, it seems that Power BI Service don't support this data source. You can find Power BI supported data sources in the following documentation.
