Hello Experts,
Attached picture is a visual level filter from the app in Power BI Service. When Selecting the Top N option in the filter, from where should I add the field to the 'By Value' option? In desktop, we can drag and drop from the datasets, but in Service, from where do I select the field? If it's not at all possible, so why MS has given this option to add the value even in app?
Thanks and Regards,
Anirban

Hi @Anonymous ,
You can't edit the report in the APP, this is not allowed. You should d like this.
1. Edit the report in the workspace.
2. Update the APP.
Or do you want report viewers to change that field by themselves?
This is currently not possible, and this field can only be changed in the editing state of the report.

When you edit the report in Power BI service, you will see fields on the right side. (similar to Power BI desktop)
From the field section, you can drag the column/measure into the By value field.
I tried it in Power BI service (Internet Explorer) and it is working fine. Refer to the below snapshot.
Hello @nandukrishnavs , thanks for replying.
I can see the fields in Edit report page, but I am referring to the app page where there is no edit option and there is no fields visible to drag to that field. The MS has given that option to the report consumers (viewer/contributors) to select Top N value in app as well. I was trying to explore that option in app, not in edit report option.
