On-premise gateway connection to Cherwell

has anyone been successfully able to add a connection to the on-premise data gateways to cherwell? We are able to sign in to Cherwell through the custom data connector, however when we click add to finish the connection, it just gives an error and we are not able to complete the new connection. This seems to be the message from the log
