Publishing an updated report creates new report and dataset (rather than updating existing report)

I have multiple reports that all share one dataset. When I publish a change to visuals from desktop in one of these reports, it doesn't ask me to confirm whether I want to replace the existing report, it just creates a new version of the report along with a new dataset.

I can confirm that:

- the name of the report matches the name on Service

- I've made no changes to the dataset (when editing the report)

Grateful for help...

Thanks, Tim.
