Filter issue in power bi service

The dropdown on filter when published to power bi service is missing.
Also, refresh button is not working. Please advise.

@gilbertendaya  as i can see in the screenshot the filters are locked hence you are not able to select any new value from filter...If you want to unlock the filter  the only way is to do it from power bi desktop and publish the power bi report
And if you want to refresh the power bi report you will have to do it from the dataset

Hi @Anonymous for the filter, this work out 🙂 for the refresh, the user who has viewer access only needs to do the refresh manually, thus clicking the refresh button. But this is not working.

@gilbertendaya The user who has only viewer access will not be able to do the refresh only the workspace owner with pro license can refresh the report....The refresh button which you have shown in screenshot it will just reload the page for the viewers....

Hi @Anonymous I tried also to click the refresh button in  the screenshot (I'm an admin/owner on the workspace) but still it doesn't refresh the reports.

@gilbertendaya Are you trying to refresh from apps,if  yes that will only reload the page ?? Can you try refreshing by clicking on dataset

Also check the lineage to understand if the power bi service is able to communicate with the source data

As you can see below" Adventure works" dataset is unable to connect to service this might also be the reason the refresh is not working
