Dependency between slicers

Hi,

We just started to use the POWER BI sevice .

There is a main issue that bother us.

We use PRIORIRTY ERP software.

Each company save on another DB.

An external firm , build us the sales report , that combine all companies,

There is a silcer that we can choose the company , and all the report show the company details,

but we have more slicers , like: customers, salesman, suppliers -those slicer is not show only the data of the company we choose before , it list all customers from all companies .

How can we define the slicer , to be depand on other slicers - or at least the main slice - the company.

Thanks,

Liora

Do you mean you want the others slicers(e.g.: customers, salesman, suppliers) filter the table based on the filtered result by the company slicer or you want the company slicer be not affected by other slicers?

If you mean the prior one, I would suggest you to use HierarchySlicer, please refer to: https://appsource.microsoft.com/en-us/product/power-bi-visuals/WA104380820?tab=Overview. If you mean the latter one, click Format-> Edit Interactions and than click slicers besides compant slicer, than click the filter "disable" icon on the right-top hand of the company slicer chart. Refer to: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-reports-visual-interactions.

Well, that's going to depend heavily on how they built the model. Usually, slicers are tied together such that choices in one slicer affect another. It is possible to turn this behavior off however using Edit Interactions on the Format tab after you select a visual. I would check if that is the case first. But I doubt that's what's going on and that it likely has something to do with how they built the model.
