Dashboards for Viva Goals in Power BI

Does anyone know how to get access to the underlying Viva Goals data to feed into Power Bi for dashboard reporting?  I see lots of info on how to update a goal directly from Power BI, but I want to do the opposite.  I don't like the native dashboards in Viva Goal and would prefer to use Power BI for reporting on OKR data.  Has anyone done this?

Hi @jeckton

You can try the following way to connect viva goals data to power bi:

You can use the Power BI connector for Viva Insights. This connector allows you to access your Viva Insights data in Power BI Desktop and create custom reports and dashboards.

Open Power BI Desktop.

Navigate to the 'Get Data' option in the ribbon.

In the 'Get Data' window, select 'Online Services' from the left navigation pane.

Look for 'Viva Insights' and select it.

Follow the prompts to establish a connection to your Viva Goals data.

Use the Power BI connector | Microsoft Learn

You can use the Power BI integration for Viva Goals, which is a feature that lets you automatically update your Key Results and initiatives in Viva Goals with data from Power BI reports.

This integration enables you to link your Viva Goals metrics to Power BI charts and visualize the progress of your OKRs.

To use either of these methods, you will need to sign in to Power BI with your Viva Goals credentials and select the reports and charts you want to connect to your Viva Goals data.
