"Publish to Web" Reports in PBI Report Server like you would with PowerBI.com

Please bear with me as I'm learning Power BI as I go.

As a demo I created some PBI reports using Power BI Desktop and I published them to PowerBI.com.  I then use the "Publish to Web" option to generate a URL for the report that I then embedded into a web page.  People loved it.  They just didn't like that the data was available "in the cloud".

It sounds like we could use a Power BI Report Server to house our reports.  When I mocked it up though I do not see any option for generating the URL that I could embed into the web page (the Publish to Web feature).

Is there such a thing in Report Server?  Am I just missing something?

Thanks

Mike

Hi @mmarable,

To embed a Power BI Report Server report into web application, you can append a querystring parameter of ?rs:Embed=true to its URL, similar to:

http://myserver/reports/powerbi/Sales?rs:embed=true

Then, based on above URL,you can create an iFrame within a web page, to host the report.

Hi @v-yulgu-msft,

This solution is great. But, once this is done I could see the filters pane on the right of the page.

I dont wan the users to see the filter pane and modify the filters.

Is there any way to hide this filters pane.

Thanks,

Mithra
