Subtract 2 Date Types, why duration????

so simple. subtract these 2 dates, format of dates is 1/1/2020, Date type

[col1 Date] - [col2 Date]  i get a duration as default output. i tried Int64.Type([col1 date] - Int64.Type([col1 date]

 i get ERROR

i need todo a conditional, if > 365 etc

= Table.AddColumn(#"Filtered Rows", "New_Existing_Cust", each if Int64.Type([Quarter_Sample_Recvd]) - Int64.Type([Prev Qrt Ordered]) < 365 then "existing" else "new")

how can i just get a plain integer output !!!!!

Since it's a duration, you can use Duration.Days to convert it to an integer.

= Table.AddColumn(
    #"Filtered Rows",
    "New_Existing_Cust",
    each
      if Duration.Days([Quarter_Sample_Recvd]) - [Prev Qrt Ordered]) < 365
      then "existing"
      else "new"
  )
