Hello Guys! I'm trying to connect to a datasource (MySQL Database) that uses SSL.
Question 1: How can I input the SSL Certificate.
Question 2: When trying to get data to that datasource it throws an error "MySQL: Reading from the stream has failed" I am guessing that this is due to the SSL Certificate that is required to connect to that db.
Thanks in advance

Hi @imj00 ,
Normally, there is no SSL certification when you connect My SQL Database in Power BI Desktop.
When the "encrypt connection" option is selected -- which it is by default -- the connection won't be established unless there's a server-side SSL certificate. This should ensure that the data is encrypted.
Have you used SSL certification when you use My SQL Database?
If not, you should configure MySQL to Use Encrypted Connections firstly. Please refer to this article.
In addition, make sure that the certificate used by your data source is within the Trusted Root Certification Authorities store of the machine running the Power BI gateway, there is an old blog stating this process.
After installing SSL certificate, add your data source within gateway.
Moreover, there is a similar thread you could refer to.
Hope this can make sense of you!
