Data Storage Location

Hey,

I'm working for a business where the tenant is located in the US so published reports data is stored in that US data center.

I work in the UK so want published reports data to be stored in a UK data center, I know the tenant cannot be changed.

If I uploaded data to an Azure environment located in a UK data center could I then link this to my report; so that when the report is published onto the service the data is staying in the UK?

I'm open to all ideas. Thank you.

James.

Sorry this isn't an answer to your question. More of support for an answer. I am in Canada and I want to use PowerBI as my main platform for clients. But most have Patriot Act issues and require their data to stay in Canada.

So my question is, what is the easiest (and most cost effective... I'm a small business) way for me to deliver PowerBI reports to clients with data residing in Canada. I know there are Azure servers in Canada but not sure how that will work.

Some have told me if I create an Ofice265 subscription for my domain (.ca), then my data will also reside in Canada. That sounds wayyy to easy.

Any help is appreciate. I'm posting this here because this is essentially the same question as above I think.

Cheers,

Ray

I appreciate the reply as it is quite similar to the one I am having.

Is an option possibly an on-premisis SQL server?
