Hi,
I'm having a problem where I have two visualisations displaying underlying data. Both are set to filter each other but only one will filter the other. The data is a series of records each containing temperatures, times and lat/longs. The example shown has hundreds of data points for each. Any suggestions on what the problem could be are much appreciated.
Hi @Anonymous
I make a test and meet the same problem as you did.
I'm afraid Area charts don't crossfilter other charts by now. Maybe you could submit an idea here: ideas.powerbi.com
Please see the limitation in the offical document basic-area-chart
"
Unlike other visualization types, if there are other visualizations on the same page, highlighting a basic area charts does not cross-filter the other visualizations on the report page. However, area charts are a target for cross-filtering triggered by other visualizations on the report page."
Best Regards
Maggie
Hi Maggie,
Thanks for the clear answer that this is not currently possible. I will submit the idea and now I don't have to spend time looking for a solution 🙂
