Hello,
I am trying to figure out if there is a way to not have the filter use the time. I field's data type is date.
When I type in the date, it gets changed to date time gmt-0400 (eastern daylight time).
Is there is a way to not display the time portion? It would be easier for me to read, without the time.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
Tracy
There are 2 things. The data type and the display format. If you don't want time, you will need to make sure both are date and not date/time. Go into get data and make sure the data type is set to date. Then do the same in the data view so the display format is date
hi matt,
i have attached a screen shot that shows the field is set to date in the query editor and data view.
in the report view, the field still shows a time.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
thank you

Hi @elz,
I can reproduce your issue, from my point of view, it is by design and we are not able to exclude the time portion in visual level date filter. I will report this issue internally and post back once I get any update.
Thanks,

Thanks for the clear screen shots Tracy - it is hard to "imagine" what is happening. I think @Eric_Zhang or one of the MS team would have to answer this. It looks like it I could "by design" to me, but I agree it is pretty annoying g if your data type excludes time.
