Hello,
from what I read in the sparse documentation on query folding, Sharepoint Lists should be supported. However, this does not seem to work on my end.
Can anybody confirm from practical experience that it works?
Thank you,
Wouter
I can confirm that it does not work with Sharepoint lists from Office 365, or Sharepoint online. I don't know if on-prem versions of Sharepoint support it. I could see that working as you have all of the resources there on prem and SQL is installed as part of Sharepoint on prem, but I suspect Microsoft turns that off for Sharepoint online so people aren't putting all sorts of lists up there then creating big queries via folding and causing their server workloads to go up.

MCSA: BI ReportingTeam,
Still does not work as of 11/26/19 -- I tried connecting to Sharepoint Online using ODATA.FEED and the query parameter $expand does not flattern the field. It brings it down local as a complex field and I needed to run a TABLE.EXPANDRECORDCOLUMN in M to get it to show the value.
Thanks,
Jim
Hi @wodraeve,
Power BI desktop provides a "SharePoint Folder" data connector. We’ll be able to see all of the files from all of the folders that we have access to in that specific site. Then we can select those files we need from the list.
