How to distribute items to people

I need some help I can't find a solution.

I have a table (Table A) that have data that is updated daily. (Product, value, etc.)

In another table (Table B) I have analyst information (Name, registration, etc)

I needed to create a way for POWER BI to count the amount of products (table A) and distribute it in equal parts to each analyst (table B)

Any idea how to do this in power query or Dax?

Thank you for your help

Hi @Spotto ,

So what you could do in that case is divide Index/Number of Lines per analyst and then round up the result. This would give you an index by group that you could use as a GUID for the analyts. Merge in an anayst table and that should give you the split you want.

Hi @Spotto ,

Please see attached solution in powerquery. Open editor.

Count Rows in Table

Divide by Number of Analysts

Add Index

If Index <= Divided Rows then Analyst A else if Index <= Divide Rows *2 then Analyst B else Analyst C etc.

You can do the additional transformations as required

Hope this helps.

Thanks a lot for the help. I liked your solution in power query but my analyst base has 50 lines I would have to put 1 by 1 in the if condition, it will be too big.
