Hi!
I'm trying to compare two dynamic periods that the user can select with a slicer :
As a rusult, I would like to have a visual to compare this two periods (hier I have 2 years but I woud like to have period 1 and
period 2)
To Build the slicer I created a table lu_datefilter. It doesn't have any relations to other tables.
In the table lu_etd (Time-Table with all Dates) the calculated column period1 was created. I have expectd, that this column can be calculated depending on the Slicer and can determin the period to which each date belongs. Unfortunetly it doesn't work. As a test I'm trying to see, if the date belong to the period1 or not.
As a result each date belongs to the period1. Values from the table lu_etd:
What am I missing? Is there another approach to compare two different periods?
Thank you for your help.

@belli , refer this blog, one slicer need to be independent

@amitchandak, thank you for you sugestion. I think that's it, what I was looking for.
@belli - If I am reading correctly, columns are not dynamic based upon user interaction, they are only calculated when you refresh/update the data. You need to use measures for this.
Hi @Greg_Deckler , as I understand it correctly, I can not calculate the value for each row in the table depending on the parameter (slicer). Right? Thank you for your sugestion, Mesure is not working in this case, because i need the value for each row, like Day or Week or Month etc.
