Data View shows different values than Report view when they are supposed to be the same

Hi,

I have spent couple of hours trying to figure out why the same field in data and report view have different outputs.

Can you please have a look at the screenshots and assist me.

c INVEST Profit from the data view should be the same as the c INVEST Profit from the Report view, but they are not the same. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance

Hi @gospodinovm,

It's hard to find the root cause from the snapshots. Can you share a sample that only contains the questionable data?

1. Were there any filters or slicers applied?

2. What's the relationships between these tables?

Dale

Hi Dale,

Really appreciated that you have came back to my questions.

You can access the data via this link https://app.powerbi.com/groups/me/reports/6e0b2516-b67f-4039-a17d-22025b136789?ctid=d0bc29c9-6b4f-44...

1. There is only a date slicer even if I remove it then the same problem persists

2. They are located in one table

It is extremely strange because, in the table data format, the calculation is correct, I have audit it quite thoroughly and couldn't find any inconsistency. Different columns are filtered as they are supposed to be but this is the only one which does not make sense in the Report View.

Have a look at the data and I will appreciate if you can advice me how to tackle this problem.

Best,

Miro

Hi Miro,

I can't access your private report. It should work properly. Can you share pbix file? You can share the file through the cloud drive like OneDrive, then send me the link through Messages.

Hi @gospodinovm,

Maybe you can get what you want by changing the report filter "SV FS.status" to "accepted". Please check out your message. If we convert the Matrix to Table, we can see it clearly.
