I have a column chart that uses a parameter slicer to change the Y axis values between three separate views. Is there a way to add logic in the measures within the parameter to automatically format the values? I'd like the data labels and total labels in the graph to display in millions for two of the views and thousands for the third, but using the auto setting on the labels formats in billions for the first two. If I set the labels to display in a specific format it applies to all 3 views, for example setting to millions will also apply to the third view which will just display "0.0m" for all columns since those values are in thousands.
Is this possible to have measures ignore the auto formatting and automically apply a set value format?
@RMDNA I don't see that feature on my Power BI desktop and I'm on the latest version. It also looks like that feature is for changing the format of the number (currency, whole number, etc)... I'm looking to automatically set it so the data labels on the chart are always in millions or thousands depending on the measure that I'm displaying
Hi @mwmchugh215 - take a look at the brand new Dynamic Format Strings for Measures feature that was released this month. I believe it might be able to solve your issue.
