Building Ad-hoc Reporting for Data Analysis

Hi,

we are part of global organization where we have Azure SSAS tabular model and each country has there own BAs who connects to SSAS using PowerBI and build their as-hoc reports.

Issue is,

1> SSAS Live connection does not allow mulitple sources and users are not able to do their final report where they need to add some customer name for products as per their market and other connection to excel etc.

2> Each country as slightly different requirements on fields which can be dimension or measurues.

How do you design or build or meet this kind of requirements when keeping one global SSAS Model for all the countries ?

Appretiate any feedback or references or ideas !! 🙂

Thanks,

Tej

hi, @Anonymous

For you are part of a global organization, I suggest you customize a uniform template for data model.

Live connection does not allow mulitple sources, you could use import the dataset. for each country as slightly different requirements on fields, you could create different measure.

Best Regards,
Lin
