I downloaded the new Power KPI Matrix today. It provides the balanced scorecard reporting that I had been looking for. I got it all configured and customized in Power BI Desktop, then published the report to the Power BI service. All of the customizations I had done to format Current Value and set colors for the Sparkline charts were lost. I had to re-do them in the Power BI service and save them there.
Is anyone else experiencing this issue?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Power KPI Matrix supports zero values now by enabling a toggle at Actual Value group of Formatting Panel.

Such behavior might happen if the data set contains more rows than Power KPI Matrix can handle and render.
We'd recommend reduce amount of data points by applying a proper filter.

Hi @v-viig,
Thank you for prompt reply.
I do have only 251 records in the excel.
May i know whats the limit of records for the KPIMatrix.
Thanks,
Sujith.

Hello,
I always end up with this issue when building something on PowerKPIMatrix.
The KPI status column wont show up the symbols at all.
If I use the sample file from the Appsource and build the matrix with same data, I get the Status Symbols.
But not in the new file.
Am i missing something to install here?
Thanks,
Sujith.

I'm using Power KPI Matrix latest version PowerKPIMatrix.2.1.1.0.pbiviz, but unfortunately its not displaying the KPI Indicators icon which set as part of KPI Indicator formatting menu. Is anyone faced similar issue to display KPI Indicators icons. if so Please provide solution.

Thanks for adding the ability to treat zeros as values. I'm now able to enable that for my actuals, but it's still not working for the comparison value. Zero is a legitimate value for a comparison as well. Am I missing this, or is it possible to add in a future release?
Thank you.
Excellent point! I had missed that there was no option to not treat zero as null for the comparison value or second comparision value. To me, there should be the option to treat zero as a valid value for all values. Otherwise, the visualization is essentially useless for me.
Zero values are not supported for Comparison values since the varaince will be NaN (current value / comparison value).
This is the main reason why we implemented Zero values only for Current/Actual values.

So what will the visual display when the comparison value is 0?
I am having the same issues with the formatting being dropped when published to the web service. Is there a timeframe on the next release for the visual?
Hello @lburgess
We'll look into this issue.

I encountered another issue today. If the data for the Current Value is 0, it uses the value from the prior period for the current period. That means all of the comparisons, KPI values, etc are from the prior period, not the current period. I verified that by displaying the As Of Date. All of the rows should be for Dec 2017. The Funded (Units) "This Month" value, for example, for Dec 2017 is 0, yet the matrix shows the value for Nov 2017.
I love this visual, but it seems a bit buggy.
