Good afternoon - received a message stating we needed to update our gateway on premise (TLS 1.0) - proceeded to download the latestet gateway and installed. Installation was successfull.
However,
We want to change from a @domain.com account to @domain.onmicrosoft.com - the onmicrosoft.com is listed as a Admin on the Power BI portal. Question is this:
Do we choose:
1.) Register a new gateway on this computer? or Migrate, Restore or takeover an existing gateway
2.) If we choose Migrate xxxx - it does show existing Gateways and Clusters (there is only 1 listed for each source - same name), there is a Recovery key option (is this the previous recovery key or new one? If it is the previous recovery key and no one remembers, what action do I take?
3.) they are existing data sources, how do I make sure that connectivity remains the same (if I choose to migrate or create new gateway).
Thank you for your time!

We DID FINALLY find the recovery key and did the migration with no issues. We are back online!
If you want to remain the existing data sources, you'd better migrate your gateway by using your recovery key. If it is the previous recovery key and no one remembers, I am afraid there is no way to recovery t your gateway.
The recovery key will be needed if you ever need to migrate, restore or take over a gateway. Be sure to keep this key in a safe place.
