We are using the on-premise gateway (personal mode) to refresh MySQL connections in a BI report. Since an update the "Gateway Connection or VNet data gateway" option is grey-out and the SQL connection are going through the "Cloud connection". This is causing an issue as it is using the BI Service dynamic IP address when connecting to our server which has a IP firewall.
Other reports on the gateway have the "Gateway Connection" turn on, compared to this report which is turned off.
Is there a way to turn the Gateway Connection back on, as it is currently greyed-out and can't be toggled?
check the data source credentials section for any credentials that need updating.
What made you choose a personal gateway?
Hi Ibendlin,
The data source credentials are all up to date and are working on this and other report. Other reports do have the gateway connection turned on with the cloud connections, however this one report does not. So it is going through the BI Service dynamic IP address and not the IP address which the gateway is suitated on.
We chose the Personal Gateway as there was only going to be one user to share the reports to other Power BI Pro users within the organisation.
