Unable to update Visual after Publish to web(public)

I have published a report to public web. I did a small visual changes on powerbi desktop and publish it. I found that the report in my workplace updated, but the one that publish to web(public) didn't pickup the update.

Is there a setting for the power bi admin need to enable or is it not supported?

thank you.

Hi  @douglas265 ,

Content posted to the web is usually not updated immediately, because of caching, you need to wait, and in about an hour, you may see the update

Publish to web is to publish the report to the web page, which will let thousands of users query the data set at the same time. In this way, the memory requirement is high, and the load of real-time refresh is also large. Therefore, cache is used to cache the definition of report and query result of report, so as to ensure that thousands of users can view the report without affecting the performance

It may take two hours for the data to refresh on the web

Hi @douglas265 ,

It might just need to be refreshed.  Sometimes there is a little lag between updating the file on desktop, publishing it to the workspace and then getting that new version to the embedded version.  Also, you might need to ensure that you are not looking at a cached version in your browser and/or that you have refreshed your browser.

I would appreciate Kudos if my response was helpful. I would also appreciate it if you would Mark this As a Solution if it solved the problem. Thanks!
