Unable to access publshed data - Unable to load the model

Hey All,

I've published a report to our PowerBI account and I'm trying to share it with other users in my org. I can open the report without any issues but as soon as I share it with other users they get the error below:
---

Something went wrong

Unable to load the model

Please try again later or contact support. If you contact support, please provide these details.
---

I've tried everything I could think of and also everything I could find online and nothing seems to work.

If anyone is able to assist then it would be great.

Thanks.

Hello Kevin,

In my case I manage to find the issua was the RLS configuration. By adding the user to the rule I want in the dataset behind the reports, the 'Unable to load the model' error does not appear anymore.

Hope it works, Bruno

Hi @Anonymous ,

Did you check if the users have read permission on the dataset that report depends on?

Hey,

I've got a pro license and the user I'm trying to share with has a pro license as well.

I've tried giving the user full access to the report and dataset, also tried sharing the link via (email link) copying the link directly but nothing works.

We've got three pro users and none of them can open each others links.

Regards,

Kyle

@Anonymous

How did you share the report? If you use this link here then you need to add their email addresses in here and you grant them access

or generate the Embed code in here and send it to them

Hey,

I've tried sharing via the email function.

kylevorster_2-1616995733357.png

And shared this link with this.

And this I received the same error

I've also tried sharing using the following, but the page just keeps loading without any content showing.

Then tried sharing using the following link but I get the same error, opening it on another machine but under my user it works fine.

I've got no idea what else to try.

Kyle

Hello,

I'm facing the same issue. All Pro Users.

The only way I can get the user sees the report is if he is admin of the workspace.

I've no idea what to do next either.
