Unable to Connect SSAS cube (Tabular) through Enterprise Gateway but connects with Personal mode

Hello Experts,

Needed suggestions on issue where we are unable to connect SSAS (Analytic Service) Tabular model from Enterprise Gateway, it works fine when we use Personal mode but failes with Enterprise Gateway!

We get error of  "incorrect username and password" but actualy the credentials are right and  we are able to connect through Pwersonal mode! I also checked the Active directory domain which matches with credentials and also tried the mapp effective usernames!

Been to some references like

Any suggestions/tips would be really helpfull to resolve the issue

Thanks in Advance

Hi @Anonymous

If that is incorrect, I would try and log into the SSAS with those same credentials to make sure it works?

Hi @Anonymous

Can you confirm that the account you are using in the Gateway data source does have Admin access to the SSAS Tabular?

Also if it has an error, run SQL Profiler on your SSAS cube to see the error when it tries to authenticate?

@GilbertQ Thank you for your reply!

Yes the User has admin access to SSAS Tabular and SQL profiler shows "Incorrect username or Password" error!

Anything else that can be checked here, Please suggest!

Thanks,

Vineet

Hi @Anonymous

Can you confirm when putting in the username and password that you are putting in Domain\Username

And when you click Save it says the connection is successful?

Hi, @GilbertQ

Yes thats correct, Its put in format Domai\username and on saving it says connection Sucessful!

I feel we need to check on SSAS side as when we check for traces at Sql server Profiler it says username or password incorrect!
