I was following this post from Chris Webb's blog: https://blog.crossjoin.co.uk/2016/11/08/pushing-data-from-excel-to-power-bi-using-streaming-datasets...
let
#"MyQuery" = ...
ConvertToJson = Json.FromValue(#"MyQuery"),
SendToPowerBI = Web.Contents(PowerBIStreamingDatasetURL, [Content=ConvertToJson, ManualStatusHandling={400,404}]),
GetMetadata = Value.Metadata(SendToPowerBI),
GetResponseCode = GetMetadata[Response.Status],
CurrentTime = DateTime.ToText(DateTime.FixedLocalNow()),
Output = #table({"Status"},
{{
if GetResponseCode=200 then
"Data updated successfully at " & CurrentTime
else
"Failure at " & CurrentTime}})
in
Output
However, when I get to the SendToPowerBI step, I am asked for credentials. When I try to sign in using our organizational account, I get the error "Unable to connect because this credential type isn't supported for this resource." What credential type should I be using? I'm using the below connector to get my data from a web service:
= Json.Document(Web.Contents(WebAPIURL, [Timeout=#duration(0, 0, 30, 0), Headers=[#"User-Agent"="Power BI", Accept="application/apisource", #"Content-Type"="application/json", Authorization="Bearer ..."]]))
