SAP HANA connection in Power BI service through gateway

Hello,

I am attempting to connect a published directquery model to an SAP HANA calculation view using the Power BI gateway. I continue to get cannot load model, general error 10 authentication failed and access unauthorized errors. Here are some key notes:

1. I am developing using Power BI desktop on the gateway machine
2. We use basic authentication
3. I have "treat SAP HANA as a relational source" disabled in Power BI desktop options
4. My connection credentials are not encrypted
5. I am using directquery through the Power BI SAP HANA DB connector and can create a report without a problem in Power BI desktop
6. Once I publish, I cannot connect the dataset to SAP HANA through the gateway and the report will not load
7. My settings are the same as on the development machine (i.e., the gateway). I have tried several options, mostly choosing to not validate the server certificate, but nothing works. I use the same credentials I used when creating the report in Power BI desktop, so I know they work. 

Is there anything else I might be missing?
