Refresh via Redshift gateway fails in Service - PBI Desktop successful

Dear community members,

 

I have a dataset connected via Redshift data gateway to data (.txt) within AWS cloud. For some weeks daily scheduled refresh within PBI Service worked perfectly fine.

One week ago refresh aborted within seconds after start with error message below. Data is available in the cloud and to my knowledge there was no change in the setup.

When I downloaded the dataset and refreshed it within PBI Desktop it was successful. Within PBI Service continues to fail also after importing the dataset again.

 

Do you have any ideas what could be the problem and possible solution?

Unforutnately I cannot provide details about gateway configuration because it was set-up by my IT.

HI @Volker,

I'd like to suggest you check your AWS cloud setting if they blocked power bi service requests so that refresh operations failed.

Hi there

The column in your text file called bu_bw is missing.

Could you also make sure that you have got the latest version of the On-Premise Gateway installed. The latest version is 3000.45.7

thanks for the hint.

But column is available (Refresh in PBI desktop successful) and first check by IT says Gateway is up and running and set-up fine.

We'll further investigate but currently have no idea anymore what could be the problem.

as far as I record we were able to solve. But I don'T have documentation and as it was 3 years ago I really do not know the details anymore.
