Refresh from Azure SQL Database not working

Hello,

I have published a Power BI report to powerbi.com which is using a azure sql database server. When i try to refresh the dataset it gives "requested by the login. Client with IP address '40.xx.xxx.57' is not allowed to access the server" .  So we added the IP to firewall rule in the server and the report got refreshed once. But when we again tried refreshing the same error occurs with a different IP Address i.e. 20.xx.x.20. So let me know why IP is changing and schedule refresh is not working.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi. That's the Service IPs that change. There are two ways to solve this.

The first one and easiest one is turning on the following option in the azure sql server firewall:

The second one would be finding the list with all the ranges IPs for Power Bi Service. You can google azure range ip addresses. I think this link has them, but check it again just in case:

I hope that helps,
