Hello everyone,
I have a report which is use to refresh daily but recently it gets error.
I got this message "The last refresh attempt failed because of an internal service error. This is usually a transient issue".
This dataset is has been configured by another user. Is it OK for me to take over the settings.
Thank you so much.

Hi @Harry_Tran ,
Currently, only the dataset owner can schedule a refresh.
If other users need to schedule a refresh, they will need to take ownership of the Dataset using the Take Over button on the Scheduled Refresh screen.
The error may be related to the environment, account number, gateway and many other factors. Sometimes the problem will go away on its own. So if it give the same error tomorrow, you could log an issue here:https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Issues/idb-p/Issues or go to https://support.powerbi.com ,scroll down and click "CREATE SUPPORT TICKET" for further help.
In addition,you could try to:
1.Use Fiddler to monitor what happened during the refresh process.
1.Publish the report in a different workspace and refresh it.
2.Use the latest version of Power BI Desktop and re-publishing to the Power BI Service
3.Use the latest version of gateway

Thanks everyone,
I got this message "when you take over the setting for this dataset, you will need to provide credentials for all data sources use by this dataset. Any Stored Credentials previous entered will be permarnently deleted when you take over".
Is it still OK if I take over. I don't wanna mess up anything.
Thanks again.
Yes it is OK to take over, as long as you know what you are doing.

Hi @Harry_Tran
Yes, you can take over the settings, then you will be the owner of that report and this will help you to investigate for that report,
FYI, make sure the gateway is updated to the latest version and signed in.
Please give kudos (hit the like button) to my answer.

Hi @Harry_Tran
Yes you can take it over. The Error could be from the Gateway that needs to update.
