As asked in other messages in the forum, I want to replicate a functionality in this POLITICO report
As you can see, it looks like a "Published to web" report, but you can add a Paramter in the URL (which is not supposed to work in this method of publication). How can I do it?
I've seen comments in differents posts talking about it. They use Javascript (https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Desktop/URL-Parameters-in-view-mode/m-p/809872) but I'm not sure if I can use this without paying for embedded analytics. In this post (https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Developer/URL-Filter-to-Publish-to-Web-Report/td-p/678444) they suggest that they are using a custom visual, how could I do that?
Finally, here (https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Service/Publish-to-Web-Public-URL-Filtering/m-p/2859685#M177294) they suggest that this is not using a parameter and that they made a page for each country.
I'm using a Free license, so I can't use Pro/Premium options, any answers will be apreciated.
Thanks for your time

That's what the documentation says, yes. Have not tested it myself yet.
I don't think so - you seem to want to publish to Web, right?
@lbendlin Yes, I want to publish to web. I don't get what you said first about the Base64 decoder. Could you explain it a little more?
Thank you
Never mind that Base64 thing, it was only an observation, unrelated to your question.
As you already noted that parameter serves for page navigation as described here
@lbendlin Okay, so are you saying that the parameter in the URL is for page navigation and not for page filtering?😕 So, in fact in the POLITICO report they made a page for each of the countries?
That's what the documentation says, yes. Have not tested it myself yet.
Hint: Throwing the sample URL at a Base64 decoder yields
{"k":"e097edad-bcb1-4aaf-a0ed-8f82a159ff9e","t":"c28d2e12-0988-4acf-bdba-119582e8d08d","c":9}
So you can create your own URLs (including the filters) by reconstructing that Base64 encoded string from your workspace/dataset IDs.
Sorry, @lbendlin but I don't understand what you are talking about. I just started with Power BI a few months ago. Do I need any paid licenses to do that?
Thanks
