Power BI & Power Automate licenses

Hi team,

I have a question regarding the Power BI & Power Automate licenses. My power Bi license is a Pro type and I want to create an automate email subscription through Power Automate.

First - should I have a Pro or a Premium PBI license to use power Automate?
-Should the creator of the Power Automate flow only have a Premium license in order every subscribed user to receive and open the  file, or every subscribed to the automate report user needs to have a Premium license?

Thank you.

Hi @EmaVasileva,

First, you need a Power automate Per-user plan liscense so that you can create flows.

Users who receive the email can only see the PREVIEW of the report, but they cannot access the report via 'Go to report' unless they have access to the report and they have a pro license

If you have a Power BI premium license, you can choose to subscribe to report attachments for users, and then forward the emails through power automate so that other users can open the attachments without the need for a license.

@v-xulin-mstf I am looking to use Power Automate to send automated emails containing Power BI PDF reports both internally & externally. Do I need the Premium Power BI license to do both of those tasks or only for external emails? I am not worried about recipents being able to open the report in BI, only need them to recieve the email & view the PDF. Any help or clarification on this will be greatly appreciated!
