Power BI Service refresh to include new "table columns" from an excelfile

Hi guys,

Im not sure what I'm doing wrong but refreshing the dataset (which I guess nowdays is called semantic model) does not add newly added table columns in the excelfile that acts as a source.

Im using the web service (not the Desktop)

Semantic model > Refresh now - does not add the new column(s)

Semantic model > Settings > Refresh > Refresh schedule - does not add the new column(s) either

Please advice!

Any change in schema will not automatically done while refresh in Service.
You will be required to refresh it in your desktop, it will automatically update the schema and then publish to service.

Hi @fiddlerx ,

Thank you very much for @arvindsingh802  ‘s reply!

Adding columns belongs to changing Schema, Schema refresh is not supported on service, you can also refer to it:Data refresh in Power BI - Power BI | Microsoft Learn

Hope it helps!
