We have created a self-service data model. The idea was for users to connect to the sematic model via PBI Desktop, Get Data and create their own reports. When I connected to the model and write measures and add to a table visual, the visual spins for a few minutes and fails to render, I get "Can't display the visual, either a connection cannot be made to the wabi-west-us....net server, or Analysis Services is not running on the compluter specified.".
Even the simplest measures like "MyMeasure = 1" will fail.
Is this memeory on my PC, where I am using PBI Desktop? The PBI Service? or the model maybe?
