New Dataset with same Report link

i deleted the dataset of a report then uploaded a new one with the same name. the report were able to recognize the new dataset but the link for that report is changed (see the screenshot below).

 

Please help me to revert back to the original link.  we need that since we already rolled out that link to everyone.

Hi there

You are correct that you can recover from a deleted App Workspace.

As far as I know currently there is no way to recover from a deleted report and the associated link

Hi there

As far as I am aware, once that link has changed you cannot revert it back.

It is because those links are based on GUID's which are supposed to always be unique. Which means that they should never be re-created anytime soon!

i saw a few post of retrieving a deleted workspace from admin portal. Does Power BI service has a similar solution for deleted report? if the link is change, maybe the report is deleted too, right?
