Moving Analysis Services Model

Hi,

I am in the process of moving our Analysis Services Models to a new server and I need to know if there is an easy way to redirect all of our Power BI report to the model on the new server? Both the old and new location is on premise

The way I can think of is to first create a new dataset in a workspace and add this connection to the gateway and then open all the report files and change the connection to the new dataset and then republish the report and finally the apps.

This would be very time consuming, so I was hoping someone could guide me to a better solution.

@sdjensen - Depends on what they are using to connect. If DNS, you could create a CNAME or alias for the old server name pointing to the new server name.

@ me in replies or I'll lose your thread!!!
