Live connection from sharepoint

Our lecturer share an excel file but l want to do a live connection.The excel file is on sharepoint.But when l have to associate it on PowerBI it does not appear.My powerBi and sharepoint are logged in.Am not sure how to do the live connection

Hi  @32210310 ,

 

You need open Excel file from SharePoint Online/OneDrive for Business in Excel Desktop App to get the link path first.Then use 'Web' connector to access the file path in PowerBI Desktop.

Need to notice that when you paste the file path into the URL field, you must delete ‘?web=1’ from the end of the file path.

You can also use a SharePoint folder as a source.
