How do YOU share template PBIT files with report creators?

Does anybody have any best practices to share when it comes to distributing a bunch of PBIT (Power BI template) files?

Ideally, I would like to put a PBIT in the Power BI service in a workspace. But that isn't possible as far as I can tell. 

Other ideas would be posting in SharePoint - or a shared network drive. But I think my content builders would not enjoy having to go "somewhere else" to get the template. Maybe not.  

Just wondering if there is anythign else I am not thinking of for the easiest way to share Power BI templates among a group. How do you do it?

Hi @AnonymousPerson ,

You are right, you can't publish a .pbit file to Power BI Service. Once you open a .pbit file and retrieve the data properly, you must save it into .pbix to publish.

You may vote this similar idea which has been submitted and add your comments there to improve Power BI and make this feature coming sooner.

If I have misunderstood your meaning, please provide more details.
