How do I turn off the "Data Updated MM/DD/YYY" in the Power BI App?

mbutler71_0-1675781582680.png

We have only Direct Query reports, and have no need to do data refreshes. We have turned them off.
But, this default "Data updated M/DD/YYYY" value is confusing users because the date is from a week ago.

Thanks for any help on this.

You cannot. That is when it was last refreshed. If you want to include a metric in the report that shows the age of the data, you can use the method in this blog, but instead of using DateTime.LocalNow to get that info, do the following:

  1. Create a Reference to your main Fact Table
  2. Remove all but the relevant date column that would have the date you want (order date, delivery date, hire date, whatever)
  3. On the Transform ribbon, click the Date dropdown, then Latest Date
  4. Convert this to a table in the ribbon and rename the Query Latest Data Date or whatever.
  5. Follow the steps in the blog at that point to bring it in, create a measure on it and add that to the report pages.

Add a Last Refresh Timestamp to your Power BI Reports
