Gateway enabled by default in all reports?

We have noticed that all our reports have the gateway enabled by default, even though we have disabled whenever is not needed before. Is there a way to disable the gateway programatically (ie PowerShell, REST API, etc) on the reports? We have too many reports and disabling by hand would take forever.

Hey @PowerChewie ,

can you please explain what you mean by a gateway is enabled by default in all reports? A data source connection is not tied to a report, instead it "maps" the dataset to the local data source.

Can you please provide more details and explain what you want to achieve by "disabling" the gateway. A data gateway connection is configured on a specific gateway (cluster). Then this data gateway connection is used to map the dataset to the local data source.

Hopefully, this adds some additional insights to tackle your challenge.

Regards,

Tom

Hi Tom, I'm attaching a screenshot so that it makes more sense. As you can see this report does not need the gateway and has it enabled by default. We have disabled the gateway manually before but for some reason recently it is enabled in all the reports again.

I just need to know if there is a way to disable the gateway programatically, we have too many reports to disable the gateway manually.

Hey @PowerChewie ,

I'm not aware that you can disable the use of a gateway connection programmatically.

Can you please explain what you want to achieve, maybe there is a different approach.

Regards,

Tom
