My dataset has referenced dataflows in other people's workspaces for over a year....their workspaces are not part of my deployment pipeline set (I have dev, test and prod). My deployments have been successful...until now....now I'm stopped dead in my tracks by this gem...please help:
Hi , @ChampAmp
According to my query in the background log database with the error details you provided, I got the following error message:
"TIMESTAMP": 2023-02-16T20:48:27.5872554Z,
"EventText": 1 Missing Dataflow Mappings, 1 are from upstream pipelines,
"TIMESTAMP": 2023-02-16T20:48:27.5675379Z,
"EventText": BruteForceApplyDataflowMapping failed with Microsoft.PowerBI.WorkerService.ContentProvider.CopyOverwriteUsageException:DataFlow Rebind failure. Will fallback to StructuredApplyDataflowMappingRules,
From the error message combined with the error message you get in the UI interface, it seems that the problem lies in the data flow binding failure, the corresponding referred entity of the data flow must also exist in the deployment pipeline, I think you can first try to click "View lineage" for all data flows in the workspace to check whether there are any omissions.
There is also a possible reason that the corresponding dataflow is being refreshed, which will also cause the deploy to fail, you also need to check and determine this matter, you can refer to this document for details:
