Deploy report in Power BI Online doubt

Hi guys.

I developed a report connected in the dev data and now I need to do deploy the same report but connected in the prod data source. The problem is I don't have access to connect in prod environment. The data source to prod has already created in data gateway.

Is possible to perform the deploy? How?

When you publish the report, it should detect your Production gateway.  The Power BI publishing process drops your development credentials and uses the credentials assigned to the gateway instead.

Before to publish to Power BI Online the report I change the connections to prod in Power BI Desktop without apply the changes only save the report and then I publish the report. After that, when I'm configuring the data set it continues connected to dev not to prod.
