Hi guys,
Anyone could help me out with my simple but at the same time pretty tough issue? I am having StartDate column in my dashboard that is coming from Azure SQL database and I would like to format inside PowerBi from current "yyyymmdd" to "yyyy-mm-dd". For better example please check picture attached - In this example I have "20191127" and I would like to have output as "2019-11-27".
Thanks in advance.

Matas

Hi @Matas
Change the data type from Whole Number to Text.
If it prompts you to replace the step say No.
Then change it again from Text to Date and it will then have it in the date format.
Once that is done load the data, which will now be in the date format?
Hi @GilbertQ
Cannot believe that this is such a simple solution since I thought I must fetch PowerBi with an appropriate format such as "2019-05-05" in order to be able to successfully change it to Date format. Thanks for your help!
