Hi @srivatsan34,

it will ask you if you want to replace the existing dataset or create a new one.

Capture.PNG

If you have saved it with a different name, it will create a new dataset.

Of course, if you want to do it programmatically, there are some very handy REST API endpoints that will let you export/import/rebind reports and more.

Hope it helps.

Hi @srivatsan34,

What do you mean copy reports?

I tested to copy visual on the same report page, it did change according to the update or original dataset.

Or do you mean making a copy of content pack? If so, the copied version of content pack won't update synchronize to original version. Please have a look at this document.

Say for example, we are using an exiting dataset in workspace to build a report.

Existing dataset is named as - Core_prod

Created Report is named as - May Month ( Now this report is linked with Core_prod dataset)

Then i down download the May month report to my desktop and work on the report using Power Bi desktop, make some changes and again pubish it back to workspace.

Now will the report May Month be in workspace as a new dataset or will it still be linked to the Core_prod dataset.
